Omega was the one of the main suppliers of watches for the U.K military forces. This present reference W.W.W was nicknamed by collectors "Dirty Dozen" and was supplied by Omega to the British military during World War II. The reference code W.W.W is and abbreviation of Watch. Wrist. Waterproof. which was established by the British Army. The broad arrow present on the dial as well as on the case back is the traditional marking for Crown property. Engraved on the case back is also the military references such as the manufacturer's number and military store number. The present wristwatch is one of the most sought after military wristwatches as it features all the characteristics that a true military watch should bear such as: water resistance, luminous radium indexes, rugged case, military engravings, and a black dial with Arabic numerals for maximal legibility.
