Nicknamed by Italian collectors “Tegola”, this reference 1593 is known to be one of the most appreciated examples of many rectangular watches ever produced by Patek.
Launched in 1944 with it’s 41X25mm case, this reference represents one of Patek Philippe’s best rectangular designs ever made, presenting a bold clean design foreshadowing a mid-century design aesthetic. Production ended in 1967 and it is estimated that fewer than 1000 examples were made, most of which in 18k yellow gold. This extremely rare example is in Platinum. Very few cases were manufactured in this noble metal, this particular case bears an immensly gorgeous silvered dial with applied diamond indexes, and is guaranteed in complete original condition.
